Tears and Stars

I can’t believe what's happening to me.
Sometimes I would like to climb a tree.
Often I watch feet walking down the lane.
Last year I could do the same.
If I was a bird then I could fly.
My Grandmother said.
“You never miss the well till the water runs dry”!

Why did health professionals not want to know?
When the ice attacking my limbs did flow.
Why did the expert send for a scan?
When they was no helpful plan.
Only. “It’s MS no cure, no pills.
With them, the health professionals, there were no frills.

Hallo, here comes a smiling face.
A rare pearl in a human face.
It’s my wonderful MS nurse.
Perhaps she has a spell in her purse.
“I’m sending you to the neuro gym.
One day you might even swim”

It’s time to redirect the brain.
Send warmth rushing through many a frozen vein.
It’s time to awaken sleeping toes.
Unfolding like a budding rose.
No longer bound by captive rope.
My joyous heart filled with hope.
